Who would have thought John Dumelo Would have a soft spot for children, education and philanthropy?
Well, the Ghanaian actor, has donated school supplies such as pencils, chalks, erasers and exercise books to about 100 pupils of St. John Of God Catholic School in Cameroon, via his John Dumelo Foundation. The school which is close to where the actor was filming at Bonadikombo also got quite a sum of money(unspecified of course) to help towards the running of the school.
John Dumelo visited Cameroon right after his short trip to the US, and he was in the coastal town of Limbe where he shot a movie as well as part of his upcoming reality TV show. He promised to go back to help renovate the school building.
This is the second country aside Ghana that the actor would be donating supplies to, the first being Sierra Leone and now Cameroon.
According to John dumelo
,“I also started the John Dumelo Scholarship Scheme for university students starting with the University of Ghana last year. Hopefully more students will be included in this scheme in the coming academic years”.
And the amazing thing is that the funding of all his activities are from his personal pocket.
